A day of scented walking, from Changdeokgung Palace through Bukchon Hanok Village to Insadong Teacup

I really enjoyed this self-guided audio tour as it was easy to follow and very flexible with time. Walking through Changdeokgung Palace while listening to the explanations made the experience more meaningful. I especially loved the atmosphere in Bukchon Hanok Village, which felt very traditional and peaceful. Ending the route in Insadong was perfect, as I could relax at a cozy cafe after the walk.

Instead of walking around and googling every building or wondering whether a place has any history behind it, you just follow along and get the context at the right moment. The historical parts were genuinely interesting to listen to, especially around Changdeokgung Palace, where the details about the Joseon Dynasty spaces add a lot more depth than just looking at them. The transition into Bukchon Hanok Village also feels more meaningful when you understand what you’re actually seeing, rather than just walking through pretty streets. And by the time you reach Insadong, it shifts into something more hands-on and relaxed, which balances the day nicely. Overall, it’s a good option if you want some historical context and a well-structured route without spending time planning everything yourself. It feels organized without being rigid, so you can move at your own pace while still getting a lot out of each stop

I really enjoyed this tour. It follows a very classic and iconic route through Changdeokgung, Bukchon, and Insadong, so it felt like a great way to see some of the most essential and beautiful parts of Seoul. The explanations were interesting, and the whole experience was easy to follow and enjoyable from start to finish. I personally liked Changdeokgung even more than Gyeongbokgung. It felt more atmospheric, more elegant, and a bit less overwhelming. To me, it has a calmer and more natural beauty, and the setting feels more harmonious and refined. The interface was also very intuitive, and everything worked smoothly. I had no trouble following the route, the GPS and audio worked well, and the whole tour felt very user-friendly. I would definitely use another tour like this again.
